2014 News
November 2014

  • 11th - Ok, New Years resolution to keep the website updated more
frequently! A lot has happened since the last update. Flemmiro SSM has been
sold to a wonderful, professional home in Kentucky. Congratulations goes to
Kelly Gage of Team EnGaged Dressage - we are so looking forward to Flair's
future with you and could not have let her go to anyone else. Flair also gave
us quite the surprised, when come spring she was not losing her "winter
weight" and slowly it became evident that it was being carried more towards
her hindquarters than her middle. Sure enough, upon checking, Flair was
indeed pregnant! A very happy surprise as she had been checked open after
2 weeks. In July she gave us a stunning dark bay colt by Diamond Stud
(Diamond Hit) who has been named Justus SSM.                        Another big
news was the sale of our mare Unusuale, who we had been on the fence
about selling for a while. But a perfect home came up and we couldn't say
no. They were a perfect match, so a big congratulations to Noelle Barrett of
Queensridge Equestrian in beautiful BC!                 A little sad to announce,
that we have decided to take a year off breeding for 2014 and have no foals
coming for 2015. We are planning a very exciting foal crop for 2016 so stay
tuned! We made the decision to not breed and focus on Geneva and Garrick
SSM in getting them going well under saddle as 4 year olds. With two quality
youngsters on the farm, our hands are going to be full!                 And now
for the BIGGEST news of all! Truly ecstatic to announce, that our very own
Hemmingway SSM has attained the honour of being named the USDF DSHB
#1 KWPN 2 year old in North America! A big congratulations and thank you
goes out to his owner Donna who is truly developing him to his full potential!
